Delete my data
You can have the data XinConnect holds about you deleted. Which route is quickest depends on how you came into contact with us.
If you use XinConnect and want one connected account removed
Open XinConnect and go to Settings → Connections, then press Disconnect on the account you want gone. That deletes the connected account itself and everything stored from it — the conversations, the messages, the saved replies and the access tokens — as soon as you confirm it. This works the same way for a Facebook Page, an Instagram account, a TikTok account, a YouTube channel and a WhatsApp number. What is left afterwards is the accounting and audit record that we are required to keep, which names the account and not a person.
If you connected a Facebook or Instagram account to XinConnect
Removing the app from Facebook automatically tells us to delete your data:
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Select Apps and Websites.
- Find XinConnect in the list and choose Remove.
- Tick the option to delete the posts and data associated with the app, then confirm.
Facebook then notifies us, we delete the connected accounts and their stored conversations, and we return a confirmation code you can use to check the status.
If you connected a YouTube channel
There are two separate things to do, and they do different jobs.
- Delete what we hold: disconnect the channel in XinConnect under Settings → Connections, which deletes the channel, the comments stored from it, the commenter names, the consent record and the stored token immediately. If you would rather ask us, write to the address below and we will action it within seven calendar days.
- Revoke our access at Google: you can revoke XinConnect's access to your data via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
Neither of these removes anything from YouTube itself. A comment you left on a video is still on that video, and you remove it on YouTube.
If you connected a TikTok account
Disconnect the account in XinConnect under Settings → Connections to delete what we hold, and revoke our access inside the TikTok app under Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions. You can also write to the address below and we will do the first half for you.
If you messaged or commented on a business that uses XinConnect
The business you contacted decides what happens to your messages — they are the data controller and we only store the data on their behalf. Contact them directly, or write to us at the address below and we will pass your request on and confirm when it has been actioned.
Ask us directly

Tell us the Facebook Page, Instagram account, TikTok account, YouTube channel or phone number involved so we can find the right records. We will confirm within the period required by Malaysian law, and within seven calendar days for a YouTube request.
Checking a request
If you have a confirmation code, enter it here and we will show you where your request has got to.
A code that arrived by email works from anywhere at https://connect.xininsight.com/data-deletion/status/<your code>.
